Inner Fire: Discovering Your Calling

In your lifetime, you may have many jobs, but your calling is different.

It is that which you were meant to do, and if you don’t answer the call, you will feel unfulfilled. You may make enough money, and you may feel content . . . but not for long. Life may be good . . . but it ought to be great.

Your calling is the intersection of your values, your passions, your talents, your values and the needs of the world. It is not a career assigned by your parents or a role in life you realize in early childhood. It is your unique potential discovered in the unfolding of your life.

Your calling may not seem so clear at this moment, but if you recognize it’s value – and your unique value – you will be ready to be ignited by your passions, explore your talents, be inspired and inspire others. Your calling is your gift to the world.

Leah Emmott is one person who has discovered the intersection of her passion, talent and values. She is a yoga and pilates instructor, artist and musician. She is the founder and creator of Inner Fire Creations. She designs yoga clothing and accessories with humourous and inspiring slogans.
